The Nissan Rogue Plug-In Hybrid has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags help prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The Palisade doesn’t offer a front passenger side knee airbag.

To provide maximum traction and stability on all roads, Full-Time Four-Wheel Drive is standard on the Rogue Plug-In Hybrid. But it costs extra on the Palisade.

Both the Rogue Plug-In Hybrid and the Palisade have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front and rear side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, front seat center airbag, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, plastic fuel tanks, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

For better traction, the Rogue Plug-In Hybrid has larger tires than the Palisade (255/45R20 vs. 235/65R18).

The Rogue Plug-In Hybrid’s tires provide better handling because they have a lower 45 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Palisade’s standard 65 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Rogue Plug-In Hybrid has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 18-inch wheels are standard on the Palisade.

The Rogue Plug-In Hybrid has a standard easy tire fill system. When inflating the tires, the vehicle’s integrated tire pressure sensors keep track of the pressure as the tires fill and tell the driver when the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. The Palisade doesn’t offer vehicle monitored tire inflation.

For better maneuverability, the Rogue Plug-In Hybrid’s turning circle is 2.8 feet tighter than the Palisade XRT PRO’s (36.2 feet vs. 39 feet). The Rogue Plug-In Hybrid’s turning circle is 3 feet tighter than the Palisade’s (36.2 feet vs. 39.2 feet).

For greater off-road capability the Rogue Plug-In Hybrid has a greater minimum ground clearance than the Palisade (7.9 vs. 7.4 inches), allowing the Rogue Plug-In Hybrid to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.

Unlike the driver-only memory seat and mirrors in the Palisade SEL Premium/Limited/Calligraphy/Hybrid, the Rogue Plug-In Hybrid Platinum has standard driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat and outside mirror angle and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

The Rogue Plug-In Hybrid’s front and rear power windows all open or close fully with one touch of the switches, making it more convenient at drive-up windows and toll booths, or when talking with someone outside the car. The Palisade’s standard rear power window switches have to be held the entire time to open or close them fully.

The Rogue Plug-In Hybrid’s rain-sensitive wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically based on the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The Palisade’s standard manually variable intermittent wipers have to be constantly adjusted.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Rogue Plug-In Hybrid has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The Palisade doesn’t offer headlight washers.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Nissan Rogue Plug-In Hybrid has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the center console. Only the Palisade SEL/XRT/Limited/Calligraphy/Hybrid offers wireless charging.
